What is a song?

 

Is it a poem? a whimsical comment on pleasures and strife?

A story? to spread epics and legends and stories of old?

​

A medium for sharing one's passions? pouring out one's heart in a fit of emotion?

​

Or an amalgam of all three? A soothing melody, filled with passion and pain and heartfelt cries, of stories of love, of hate, of suffered indifference, and every emotion that lay dormant between the lines.

In truth, it is all but none; undefinable, unfit for any one name. The definition ebbs and flows, changing depending on its creator and the struggles that they face.

 

The essence of song cannot be captured, only experienced in its truest capacity.
